Tonight, I got a chance to upgrade my IE7 to IE8 Beta 1. Since I’m a little bit curious on how IE8 Beta 1 perform. You need to go HERE if you wish to upgrade to IE8 Beta 1.
There are 2 main differences that I found, within second after I open IE8 Beta 1. Emulate IE7 and Developer Tools.
Emulate IE7 is the feature offer by Microsoft to browse the web like in IE7. While the other one is Developer Tools. This tools remembering me of Fire Bug in Firefox. But not as good and complete as Fire Bug.
I’m expecting a big changes in IE8 but I don’t think I found any change in interface or browsing method. Upon using for several minutes, I found IE8 Beta 1 not much different from IE7.
According to Microsoft this Beta 1 release is for web developers and designers, but you are free to use even though you’re not one of them
One more thing, on the default page you can find activities and web slices. If you check on the images below, you can guess that it is about bookmarking tools.
I’m not much of a designer nor developer, so I can’t really comment on features offer for both area. Why don’t you tryout for yourself
