People who love to use Netscape Navigator will be disappointed by the decision of AOL Company to stop all the services for this old time browser. AOL Company decided to stop all services (patch, upgrade, security bug fixes, etc) on March 1st. Here is the message pop up when you try to download the upgrade.
Netscape also recommend to use Flock and Firefox instead of using Netscape. If you choose to upgrade to Firefox, Netscape will migrates all your preferences/settings from Netscape.
For those who choose Flock, not only will you get a seamless upgrade of your preferences from Navigator 9, but you’ll have the option to choose a theme that (to us) looks a lot like the Navigator theme. Very cool.
One example of how cruel this Internet is, reach the highest or die trying. So long Netscape we’ll miss you.
