Mozilla Firefox is one of the famous browser widely used by surfer to surf the net. It is famous because you can customized it according to what you want it to be, for example, adding new theme to your Firefox or adding new extension that help improve your browser capability.
In this article I will give you some of my favorite extension that I always used when I re-install my Firefox browser.
Oh yeah… to access your extension page, you need to navigate to TOOLS and choose ADD-ONS, there are 2 tabs, Extensions and Themes. To get extensions just press GET EXTENSIONS on the bottom right of that page.
1. Adblock Plus
This is my number 1 favorite extensions. What it do is block any popup and disturbing images or ads promo things. This is very good for those who has slow internet connection and don’t want to load any images or ads promo during visiting a website.
You can customize accordingly by going to Preferences page (CTRL+SHIFT+A)
2. FasterFox
You can surf faster with this extension. But I don’t know whether it is true or fake, but nothing will go wrong if you have it ^^
3. PDF Download
I starting to used this extension when I searching for PDF files. By default Firefox will open PDF file in the browser, I don’t want it to happen. And I found the right extension to handle PDF file.
You can choose to Open it in your browser, Download it, View as HTML, Bypass PDF Download or cancel any action.
4. Video Download
So you just found some cool video on youtube or Google video and you decide to save it to your computer. This extension will do the job for you. Just right click on the page and choose Download Video and press download.
That’s all of my favorite extensions… Oh yeah there is another 1 but you will get it when you install Internet Download Manager.
This IDM extension is very handy if you often download files from Rapidshare.
I have 5 extensions that I’m using right now and my suggestion is don’t install extension that you don’t need, as it will make your Firefox “heavy”. What I mean heavy is like load time took longer and eat up your memory usage a lot.
